KP Office attempts to transcend strict dichotomies, such as architecture/art and practise/theory, by bringing together spatial design, exhibition making, and research. Whether this entails the construction a new building, the design of an exhibition, or an urban research project, we employ a holistic and research-driven perspective.
Using a research-based methodology, KP Office creates spatial compositions that exemplify craftsmanship, blend into the natural landscape, and are grounded in a deep understanding of local context. The focus on detail, the use of traditional techniques and the creation of atmospheric qualities are some of the principles that guide our practice.
From museum exhibits to contemporary art installations, we curate and design spaces that communicate complex ideas and shed light on untold histories.
Our research projects employ qualitative methodologies to analyse contemporary cultural heritage and the urban experience. We look at infrastructures, cultural institutions and urban politics to develop strategies for resilient urban growth and inclusive cultural policy.
